Por que ‘no me lo puedo creer!’

Recently life has been full of surprises – not all of them pleasant! But I am trying to keep a sense of proportion by writing about it here… and trying to keep my sense of humour at the same time – not always easy!

My husband says that no one could make up what happens to us and he is probably right.

In the UK in the 90s there was a very popular tv program running called ‘One Foot in the Grave‘. The main character, ‘Victor Meldrew’, always suffered calamities which were funny but totally frustrating at the same time. Victor’s most famous expression was, “I cannot believe it!”, hence the title of this blog – ‘No me lo puedo creer!’

Things happen to us which we know (or at least we hope) we will laugh about later, but when they occur it takes all our strength for us to keep our sanity.

This blog details those events; not always in order, as there is so much that has happened already that I want to write about at some stage. But as things seem to happen most days I guess I will have to wait to backtrack later.

Whatever, we look forward to the day when our ‘life in the sun’ is happy and tranquil, but that is probably a long way off and, in any case, after what has happened recently tranquility would probably bore us to tears!
